Counter-terrorism
Fighting terrorism is a national and international objective that implies a certain expectation from every citizen. Thus, actions to combat terrorism aims at the anticipatory roles of prevention and deterrence, and cooperation between civilian and military agencies in managing the consequences of terrorist attacks, along with effective combating of terrorism through active response. Over the three days, the course aims to teach the following:
- History of terrorism/counter-terrorism in Romania;
- Current force structures in Romania (nationwide SNPCT Nation System for Preventing and Combating Terrorism and IPCT Inspectorate for Preventing and Combating Terrorism), active and operative capacities of rejection of terrorist threats and risks;
- Presentation on current international cooperation through agreements which Romania is part of through national policy and partnership with other peacekeeping forces
- Discussion of case studies on terrorists/terrorism/counterterrorism
